SHREDDED RED
Yesterday, I encountered the fastest yarn winder, she was able to wind 9 skeins on yarn in no time!!!! I was so happy because I have been dying to try out this new designer yarn... Its so beautiful!!!! I also found some other place that is selling the yarn much cheaper online and once that yarn arrives I am going to order tons. Its 80% wool and 20% rayon making it nice and stretchy! love it. I have ordered white so that I can dye it myself. The ones I ordered previously were all red, not bad since red is so in this season.
So today I am abit schizo with my crocheting I am working on a lacy shrug and a poncho at the same time, interchangeably though as I watch season one of superman:))) how cool is that.
OK better go now, just wanted to post something for today

Shaggy tan poncho
Today I listed shaggy tan Poncho, this poncho is awesome!!!! if I may say so my self :)))
So today I am off from being a therapist and its my day to be a crochet artist, I am working on another shawl deciding if I want to leave it white or dye it to another color. I havent decided yet. I am making it using bamboo yarn and I am going to border it with ruffles. It seems like ruffles is so in this year.
I went to the gallery at market east yesterday just to check whats in and I saw a lot of ruffles. I love ruffles!!!

promoting on a website
So today I decide to be brave and have someone build me a website, its called elegantcrochets.com and I am really excited about it. Its been a long process getting to this place, been afraid, wasnt ready whatever the reasons were. But now I am ready, I am ready to be successful at what I do as a crochet artist. Spent hours with this person because I am soo computer illiterate and had him walk me through the whole process, its was exhausting but felt like such as accomplishment!!!!!!
Yesterday I visited Square Peg Artery & Salvage. Jen one of the owners contacted me and said they would be interested in cosigning my stuff. I went in and checked the place out and I like the feel of the place.
I do want to actively promote my stuff, so I will be looking for other botiques that may be interested in carrying my stuff. I will be coming up with postcards brochures, labels its to promote my work. I am excited about it all.
So now I am going back to finish my shaggy poncho as I watch miss marple, finish the three projects that I am working on 2 raunas, 2 shrugs and this poncho because I have someone modeling them for me on monday. Hopefully also start working on shawls since I am running low on shawls in my shop... okay back to work work work work

Something for the day
Today I wont be able to do a lot of crocheting because I have to go to work... my other life as a therapist. Woke up extra early to get in some meditation time ( centering) workout and maybe crochet for an hour before I head off to work. Its going to be a very busy day today

Creativity at its funnest
Just wanted to share some pictures of some fun things I have made and the fun I have had making them

So today I decided to stay home and crochet. Yesterday I had such a bad day that I felt like taking a personal day today which I did. I am working on two pieces right now, another shaggy poncho. The shaggy poncho is in a beautiful red/crimson/burgundy and tan color, very striking combinations and a chain stitch shrug in white and tan, quite pretty if I may say so myself. The shrug started out as a scarf but it didnt want to be a scarf so what can I say, cant argue with a piece just follow what it wants you to make.....

I just finished this tan shaggy poncho which I think is absolutely divine. Now I have to find a model so that I can post it up on etsy. This modeling business is one of the hard things for me... I love to crochet, I am getting better at marketing I just want more sales!!!!!!! Because I know my work is amazing :)

Crochet as poetry
So today is Sunday and after I have had my morning coffee talked to God, Meditated will begin to crochet. Crochet is like poetry and my words are my yarn, its texture, color and how it makes me feel will then enable me to crochet what the yarn is telling me to crochet. When I crochet its like I am putting my soul out there for others to see, I am revealing the beauty inside of me. Sometimes I am release the hurt, pain, horrors that I see around me and transforming it to something beautiful, creative. The creative process really makes me appreciate the fact that we are indeed co- creators with God.

I love to crochet and there is not reason why this shouldnt be a second source of income. Thinking seriously about building a website to establish web present!!!!!

So I decided to start a blog where I can post all my products for you to see and also some of my thoughts and feelings as I crochet. yarn and crochet hooks are like my canvas. What I crochet is usually an expression of what I am feeling. It is a somewhat spiritual experience for me. My spiritual director really inspired me to take my crocheting seriously and make it part of my spiritual journey
